Project Brief
A solution is needed to help us meet our obligations for disclosing benefits and expenses for our members to HMRC via the P11D statutory form. The solution should aggregate fees and allowances from both Payroll and our Dynamics CRM based administration system. We need to be able to deliver (via email) completed forms to the scheme members themselves for their records and to the HMRC.
Solution Implemented
A small internal website was delivered to act as the aggregation point between CRM and Sage Payroll. All data is collated into SQL Server providing an archive so that previous P11D's can be reproduced as needed.
On creation each members P11D is generated server side as a PDF and saved to the member's file store on the LAN. A checking and sign off process allows for spot checking before the P11D's are eventually emailed out to the recipients.
Alongside the primary website, several SQL Reporting Services were also delivered providing MIS and reporting against the P11D database.
